Swami Vivekananda Scholarship

The Government of West Bengal offers this scholarship to those who have secured a minimum of 75% in aggregate in secondary examination. The scholarship amount is Rs 750/month. Previously, this scholarship was known as Merit cum Means Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded every year after the results of the secondary examination. Presently, the ambit of the scholarship has been expanded. From 2017, Swami Vivekananda Scholarship would be awarded to students who just passed secondary and higher secondary examination  got admission in B. Tech, M.B.B.S, Diploma and other courses and also those who have enrolled in UGC course. This scheme also offers the scholarship for post-graduation to those students who secured a minimum of 55% in aggregate with honours from any recognised university. . There is no particular yardstick for obtaining the scholarship for the students who secured admission in the first year of M.B.B.S, B.D.S., B.Sc, NURSING, B.H.M, B.A.M.S. 


Rs 750 to the students studying in class XI, Rs 700 -Rs 1500 to students who cleared higher secondary exam and pursuing under graduate course, the  students who cleared graduation and is pursuing post graduation will get a scholarship of Rs 1200 - Rs 1500/month


Meritorious students who secured 75% in secondary and higher secondary examination and 55% in graduation and economically weak students ( annual income of the family should not exceed Rs 80,000)
